Do Not Remove Hair Before Your Appointment
Avoid waxing, plucking, threading, or shaving the area for at least 5–7 days so the hair is visible for treatment. -
Avoid Sun Exposure
Stay out of the sun and avoid sunbeds for 7 days prior to your appointment. Fake tan must be fully removed. -
Clean, Product-Free Skin
Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, creams, oils, deodorant, or perfume on the treatment area. -
Avoid Active Skincare Products
Stop using retinol, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliants on the area 3–5 days before treatment. -
Stay Well Hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the 24–48 hours before your appointment to support skin conductivity. -
Avoid Caffeine & Alcohol
Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before treatment, as they can increase skin sensitivity. -
Inform Us of Medications & Medical Conditions
Please tell your practitioner if you are taking antibiotics or acne medication or have any medical or hormonal conditions. -
Avoid Skin Irritation
Do not book electrolysis on sunburnt, broken, or inflamed skin. -
Comfort Matters
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and consider eating beforehand to avoid light-headedness. -

Keep the Area Clean
Gently cleanse with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser. -
Avoid Touching the Area
Do not touch, pick, or scratch the treated area to prevent irritation or infection. -
No Heat for 24–48 Hours
Avoid hot showers, baths, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, and intense exercise. -
Avoid Makeup & Skincare Products
Do not apply makeup, perfumes, deodorants, retinol, acids, or exfoliants on the area for 24–48 hours. -
Soothe the Skin
Apply a recommended soothing product such as aloe vera or a post-treatment gel if advised by your practitioner. -
Avoid Sun Exposure
Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 48 hours. Use SPF 30–50 once the skin has settled. -
Expect Mild Redness
Temporary redness, swelling, or sensitivity is normal and should subside within a few hours to a day. -
Do Not Wax or Pluck Between Sessions
Shaving or trimming is fine if needed between treatments. -
Avoid Swimming
Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and the sea for 24–48 hours to reduce infection risk. -
