A much needed booster for your skin
Profhilo uses a hybrid of high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid which has NOT gone through chemical modification processes. It is used for tissue remodelling and improvement in skin elasticity of the face, neck, collar and body area (hands and thighs area). Profhilo promotes the restoration of firmness, tone and general health of tissues in a natural way. It targets dullness and all effects of ageing like lines and wrinkles, skin laxity and loss of fullness by rejuvenating and restoring the skin.
Depending on the client’s age, Profhilo shrinks and tightens the skin of the target area and allows slow release into the top layer of the skin (epidermis) to hydrate, while stimulating the production of plumping elastin and collagen, which creates a volumising and lifting effect in the lower layer (dermis), and in turn, firms the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the human body and its main function is to maintain correct tissue hydration by binding itself to large amounts of water. Profhilo has great tolerability meaning it is great for rejuvenating the skin and reducing ageing effects as well as dermal tissue repair such as acne scars. We highly recommend this procedure as we strongly believe that Profhilo is the best treatment you can do alongside i-PRF/PRP for skin rejuvenation and restoring skin laxity. Pre-Treatment
Preparation
Ensuring that you come to your session with clean skin. This means your practitioner has a clear base to work with and no impurities are on the skin. The week leading up to your treatment, it is imperative to stay hydrated and drink more water than you normally do. Hydrating your body means hydrating your skin and this will minimise any breakouts or skin issues that can arise subsequent to your treatment. We recommend NOT to eat spicy foods and caffeine during the week leading up to your appointment. These will increase skin sensitivity and can cause flare ups for any existing skin conditions. Maintain a healthy diet. This not only helps you feel your best, but will give you better results too. Avoid experimenting with new facial and body products or changing your skin routine (if you have one).

Avoiding alcohol and aspirin, which could cause bruising, for 48 hours The treated area of skin may feel slightly tender and appear red and swollen afterwards. You may occasionally experience skin peeling and appearances may be similar to mild sunburn. These effects will resolve naturally and should be much improved after 48 hours but may take longer to settle. You may experience some minor bruising which may take 1-2 weeks to resolve in some cases. Avoid any perfumes, fake tan or other harsh chemicals for 72 hours after treatment. Avoid any makeup for 24 hours after treatment as this can increase the risk of infection. Avoid rubbing or picking the treated area. Avoid any skin exfoliation for 72 hours following treatment. It is important to use a regular moisturising cream around two to three times a day on the treated area. Use more regularly if you feel the skin dry or peeling. Avoid any products that contain alpha hydroxy acids, retinol, and glycolic acid for at least 7 days after treatment. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, sunbeds and exposure to heat for 72 hours after treatment. These can cause sweating which can irritate the delicate skin and slow down your ability to heal quickly. Avoid swimming for 72 hours after treatment. Avoid any excess alcohol or caffeine for 48 hours after treatment. Wear SPF 30 or greater sunscreen for at least 2 weeks following treatment as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight afterwards. Avoid any further cosmetic treatments e.g. Botox or dermal filler for 2 weeks following treatment, or ask your practitioner for advice. Avoid any hair removal treatments such as waxing for 2 weeks after treatment or until the initial redness and swelling has resolved. Avoid heat treatments such as spas, steam rooms, hot baths and saunas for 48 hours ESPECIALLY hot showers and hot water when washing face and body. Fractional resurfacing 3–4 weeks distant Treatment should not be undertaken in the immediate period following other routine medical procedures (including vaccination). What is Profhilo?

How long does Profhilo last?
After your Profhilo appointment, you can expect results to last around 6 months if 2 treatments are given one month apart (the recommended dosage). After your initial treatments, we recommend maintenance appointments every 6-9 months.
Can I get other treatments done alongside Profhilo?
Yes! In fact, the results from Profhilo are accentuated and complemented by quite a few different treatments. We love using Aqualyx or PRP/i-PRF alongside Profhilo for phenomenal results and long-lasting effects. Of course, this is not compulsory and you may have other treatments in mind but these are our favourites for subtle but effective results.
What age is best for Profhilo?
While there is no set age limit, those who have noticeable age associated symptoms on the skin. This can range from (but not limited to) ages 30-50, which is the age most people start to see the first signs of ageing; such as lack of hydration and fine lines and wrinkles. However, Profhilo can be used as a preventative measure for ageing or just a general hydration boost but there are better treatments we provide that are available to you.
Does Profhilo change the structure of your face?
Profhilo is designed to flow over a larger surface area to rejuvenate and smooth the skin whilst hydrating it. While it gives the impression of bouncier skin, it does not add volume like fillers do, meaning Profhilo does not change your face shape.
Do you see instant results with Profhilo?
Results can differ person to person. While you may see some results immediately after your first session, the best results won’t appear until 4 weeks after your appointment. After 8 weeks from your session, your skin will appear substantially more hydrated and glowy.

Please take whatever steps necessary to ensure you are punctual for your appointment. Our schedule means late arrivals will reduce your treatment time. Please note appointments will be cancelled without a return of deposit should a patient arrive more than half an hour late.

As a responsible and licensed practitioner, we will refuse treatment should we believe medical intervention is required. In this instance, we will return the deposit or full payment and recommend you visit a medical practitioner.

All single treatments and packages must be paid for in advance.

A face-to-face consultation will be provided free-of-charge prior to any treatment.

There will be a required deposit of 20%. This amount will be deducted from the treatment cost if you proceed with us.

Cancellations should be made at least 48hrs prior to your treatment. Please note your deposit will not be returned if you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you want to make a new appointment, a new deposit must be given.

We do not refund a course of treatments (3 or more appointments) however we will allow a 14 day period where you can rearrange your first consultation and can change your treatment area.

If treatment date is changed, we recommend your course of treatments commence within 14 days of the consultation and no more than 14 days between each treatment.
