Micro-Sclerotherapy
Get rid of those pesky veins
Thread veins (or ‘spider veins’) are very common and arise due to varying reasons. While thread veins are harmless, they could take a toll on your self-esteem but rest assured that it is treatable and you can feel confident again!
Thread veins occur when a cluster of veins form below the surface of the skin and can be triggered by extended sun exposure, hormonal changes, ageing and sometimes even injury. The treatment itself is very straightforward - sclerosing agents are injected into the treatment area and repairs damaged veins, diminishing the appearance of the veins itself but can also reduce any pain and discomfort that the thread veins have caused.
In your consultation with your aesthetician, you will say what you wish to achieve from your session/s and, together, will move forward to reaching those goals. Despite your lifestyle, thread veins can still appear (even if you feel you are doing all the ‘right’ things).
Sclerotherapy is a safe and very effective procedure that treats thread veins over the course of a few treatments and will leave you feeling confident and comfortable in a short amount of time!

Pre-Treatment
Preparation
It is important that when you come to your appointment, you have clean skin with minimal added product. • It is important that the skin area is intact and healthy before your session takes place. • We highly recommend NOT to eat spicy foodsand caffeine duringthe week leading up to your appointment. These will increase skin sensitivity and can cause flare ups for any existing skin conditions. • It is important to hydrate.Drinking plenty of water helps unwanted hair slide out more easily. • It is important to gently exfoliate your skin before your treatment as this opens up the follicles and lets the unwanted hair slide out more easily. • You are allowed to ONLY shave between treatments but never any other hair removal techniques. It is important to avoid plucking, waxing, threading, or tweezing before your hair removal appointment as this reduces the number of hairs your electrologist can remove. • The hair grows in cycles so you may need more treatments but your electrologist will go through this with you.
